Family Situation
Their father passed away, and their mother, along with her two daughters, moved to Karachi from Badin, a small city in Sindh, Pakistan after his death. They were not given their share of the inheritance, as it was stated that the daughters would receive their portion when they turn 18. Since the daughters are still minors, their mother was left with nothing. They currently live in a rented house with a monthly rent of 17,000 Rs. The mother works as a tailor, but due to a recent medical condition chikungunya, she is unable to sit for extended periods of time.

Family Situation
The family expenses have increased significantly due to inflation. He has two brothers and one sister, who is not enrolled in school. The family lives with their grandparents, which further raises their overall expenses. Their rent is 12,000 Rs, while the husband, the sole breadwinner, earns 50,000 Rs per month. Grocery costs alone amount to 20,000 Rs, making enough for education feels like a luxury. They are faced with the difficult choice of either feeding the family or providing an education.

Family Situation
Maheen has four siblings: two older brothers and two older sisters, both of whom are married. Her eldest brother holds a Bachelor of Commerce BCom degree. However, his income is unstable, averaging only PKR 30,000 per month. The family struggles with high expenses, including rent of PKR 15,000 and an average electricity bill of PKR 15,000, leaving little room for other necessities. Her elder brother also has a three year old son who has not been admitted to school due to financial difficulties.
