Feeding the Future

Provide nutritious meals to families in need.

Fighting To Feed Our Future

Many Muslim countries continue to grapple with food insecurity, leaving many vulnerable individuals without access to proper nutrition. Feeding the Future is one of our projects committed to providing nourishment to those in need, with the hopes that no one goes to bed hungry.

Our projects are focused on areas in need with monthly campaigns dedicated to feeding approximately 50 to 150 individuals. We provide healthy and nutritious meals based on the advice of our team of nutritionists who volunteer their time to ensure this goal is met.

Current Projects

Our food drive campaigns in Pakistan are focused in Lahore and various villages. Most recently in our first Ramadan, we distributed over 390 food packages to families in Jhelum suffering from high rates of food insecurity.

Campaign Logistics

All of our operations are led by a local employee who sources the food and required inputs, cooks the food, and distributes it in areas with the highest poverty rates. All inputs are sourced at the lowest possible price to ensure our cost is around 50 Canadian cents per person.  Depending on the city of operation, the food is either cooked at the employee’s house or in a rented industrial kitchen. The kitchen rent is often heavily discounted due to the nature of the organization’s work. Depending on the city of operation, food distribution is either stationary working in a soup kitchen style or the food is distributed through a van, stopping to distribute when needed.

In some cases, especially in a soup kitchen styled distribution, photography of the operation is appropriate, but in many cases, taking pictures and videos is infeasible. In these cases, the team focuses on capturing the cooking and packaging process. Individual donors can request whatever method of proof, if any, they would like and our team can adjust operations accordingly.
